- SNAP benefits lifted at least 4.7 million people out of poverty in 2014.
- Research shows that reducing food insecurity though SNAP leads to significant improvements in health and well-being for children and adults.
- Despite the substantial impact of SNAP benefits on reducing hunger, many SNAP households still reported experiencing low or very low food food security in 2014.
